More than 80 top baristas from Taiwan and Chinese mainland gathered together to discuss their skills when the 2017 KM&LAGS Cross-Strait Cup Cross-Strait Coffee pull Invitational Competition was unveiled in Kinmen from June 3 to 5. This is the third time in the past three years that Kinmen has held a grand gathering of coffee flowers in three places on both sides of the strait.

Jinmen County Coffee Culture and Innovation Exchange Association held a press conference at Lingjia Coffee Shop today to explain the general situation of the preparations for the invitational tournament. At the scene, beautiful baristas made "Happy KINMEN", "Golden Gate" and other words pull flowers, media reporters scrambled to shoot.

Wang Mingzong, chairman of the Association, said that since the prosperity of Taiwan's coffee industry, no county or city has ever conducted a cross-strait flower competition. Through this international event led by the Kinmen County government, you can see coffee experts from the two sides of the strait exchanging coffee here at one time, which is really commendable.

He also mentioned that the association held the "2014 TNTTW&KM Cross-Strait Coffee pull Competition" three years ago.

The 2017 Cross-Strait Coffee pull Invitational tournament is guided by the Jinmen County government and sponsored by the Jincheng Town Office, the Jinmen County Coffee Culture and Innovation Exchange Association, and the Taiwan Office of the Italian barista training Center. Taiwan Dad Coffee Company sponsored by several coffee groups from the mainland and Kinmen.

The Association said that the Cross-Strait Coffee pull Invitational tournament is recognized by the global "LAGS pull Certification system (Latte Art Grading System)" and is also the first event of the LAGS this year. LAGS is an authentication system co-founded by Italian coffee guru Luigi Lupi and others in 2015.

In addition, the pull Invitational tournament is also the first leg of the Professional Coffee Competition (PCA,Professional Coffee Athletics) this year. The association pointed out that PCA was founded by the Taiwan office of the Italian barista training Center in 2014 and has become a major event in Asia. After Kinmen becomes an independent competition, the winners will have direct access to tickets to the 2017PCA Asian qualifying tournament, so coffee experts from both sides of the strait are flocking to the invitational tournament. In other words, immediately after the invitational tournament, PCA held a division competition in Taiwan and Chinese mainland.

The "KM&LAGS Golden Strait Cup Cross-Strait Coffee pull Flower Invitational Competition" invites baristas and well-known coffee shop representatives of the seven coffee associations of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Macao, Fujian, Quanzhou and Xiamen, as well as representatives of well-known coffee shops of the victorious army of Taiwan coffee pull flower competition, to participate in the competition. Not only elites from the three places from both sides of the strait gather together for the competition, but also can be marketed in Jinmen through online live broadcast. In addition, the number of relatives and staff of the same trade reaches 300. It is expected that the efficiency of Kinmen tourism will be improved.

The association pointed out that the judges and contestants of the invitational tournament are both temporary choices. In terms of judges, the referee Peng Siqi has the reputation of "Godfather of Asian Coffee pull" and head of PCA Coffee Competition Asia. Zhang Zhonglun is the winner of the 2009 Taiwan Coffee Masters Competition and the author of "the Prince of Coffee makes you addicted to cafe." In addition, there are Ye Zefan, president of Fujian Coffee Industry Association, and Tang Jinqing, president of Macao coffee and tea industry.

As for the contestants, Taiwan's Zhang Zhongrui won the WCE World draw Competition in 2016 and 2017 in a row. Chen Youlin won the Taiwan Dagang Cup and the Ji Yang Cup. Among the contestants, there are also judges. For example, Lai Zhengxiu served as the judge of this year's Taiwan selection Competition. Cao Zhiwei and Xie Yuxiang, who work in chain stores, both have rich experience in international competitions.

In addition, the landowner contestant Xue Yuan won an excellent work in the 2014 cross-strait coffee flower competition and was known as the "most beautiful coffee shop manager" in Kinmen. According to the shopkeeper, many people came to the store for coffee to see her.

The Invitational Competition will be held on June 3 at the Hengchang duty-free store and Jinhu Hotel. In addition to the competition, the organizers will set up a coffee bar area at the venue, prepare "Golden Gate Sorghum Coffee Latte", market Kinmen Sorghum Wine, and perfectly combine Kinmen Sorghum with Kinmen fresh Milk and Italian Coffee, hoping to become a highlight of the Coffee pull Competition.
