According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a natural herbal coffee sold by Bestherbs Coffee has been found to contain ingredients similar to Viagra, which may increase the risk of death in men with some chronic diseases.

Bestherbs Coffee, based in North Texas, has produced a natural herbal coffee called New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Herbs Coffee since June 2014, which contains ingredients similar to sildenafil, commonly known as Viagra.

The ingredient contradicts the ingredients of some drugs and has adverse side effects, such as causing hypotension, FDA said in a statement. Although the product does not boast the efficacy of Viagra, it is mainly sold to men, so people with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, need to pay special attention. In addition, FDA also found that the coffee also contains milk ingredients of unknown origin, which may cause consumers to develop allergies.

Although the coffee has not caused any discomfort to consumers, Bestherbs Coffee has taken the initiative to remove and recycle the product and asked consumers to contact them to deal with the follow-up refund.
