Drinking coffee may reduce the risk of death, according to two large studies published in the Chronicle of Internal Medicine.

The first study was carried out jointly by researchers from the International Agency for Research on Cancer and Imperial College. This benefit applies to people of different races.

A commentary issued by the Chronicle of Internal Medicine said that the polyphenols and other bioactive substances in coffee have antioxidant effects and are related to reducing insulin resistance and inflammation. However, these benefits do not come from caffeine. Although it is too early to advise people to drink coffee to reduce mortality or prevent chronic diseases, adults drinking 3-5 cups of coffee a day, or 400 milligrams of caffeine a day, may not have adverse effects on their health. as a result, drinking coffee can be considered part of a healthy diet.
