According to Reuters sources, Nestl é has sold North American bottled water, including Youhuo and Poland Spring, to private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners LLC (LLC).

One Rock Capital Partners Co., Ltd. (LLC) is a US-based private equity firm with about 160 employees in the US.

Nestl é has already taken action to sell Youhuo and Poland Sprin bottled water this time.

In July 2020, Nestl é said it was considering selling its bottled water business in China.

In this report, a source said that Nestl é may also sell related businesses including Deer Park, Ozarka, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills and Arrowhead.

Nestl é is nearing the end of its sale of North American water, and its overall valuation, including debt, could exceed $4 billion (25.836 billion yuan).

Sources said that if the business negotiations are successful, the deal could be announced as early as this month, but it is uncertain whether Nestl é and One Rock can finally reach an agreement.

So far, both sides have declined to comment on Nestl é's sale of bottled water to private equity.

The drinking water sector is one of Nestl é's core businesses, but in April 2020, Nestl é said organic sales of its global drinking water business fell 1.4% as a result of the epidemic.

Nestl é later sold its Canadian bottled water business to private bottled water company Ice River Springs for an undisclosed amount. In August of the same year, Tsing Tao Beer Group bought Nestl é Chinese mainland water business. Nestl é announced that it would sell its water business in Chinese mainland area to Tsing Tao Beer Group. The deal includes the local brand "Dashan", "Yunnan Shanquan" and Nestl é's three water business factories in Kunming, Shanghai and Tianjin. Under the license agreement, Tsing Tao Beer Group will produce and sell the "Nestle Youliu" brand in China.

In addition, Nestl é will previously adjust the strategic direction of its drinking water sector with an income of nearly 60 billion yuan. Nestle's board of directors has adopted a new strategic direction for the drinking water sector, according to the announcement. The focus is "will strengthen the focus on iconic international brands, leading high-end mineral water brands, and invest in differentiated health products, such as functional water." Nestl é, which is selling its business in Huashui, also made it clear that it does not include high-end water.

Acqua Panna, Nestl é's high-end water brand, was officially sold at the Tmall flagship store on June 17, 2020. for the next plan, Nestl é said it would continue to focus on the continued growth of high-end brands, such as Perrier in France, S.Pellegrino in Italy and Acqua Panna.
