Following the return of two popular guava drinks as scheduled, Xi Tea launched a new product "Nanjiang licorice guava bottle" in stores across the country, inspired by Chaoshan licorice fruit on the last day of February.

Licorice fruit is a common street snack in Chaoshan area of Guangdong Province. Adding southern ginger and licorice to the fresh-cut fruit can not only stimulate the sweet and sour flavor of the fruit itself, but also has the effect of invigorating the body to quench thirst, and let the fruit have a special aroma.

The new product of Xi Tea adopts this idea to carry out research and development, combining ripe guava juice with spicy southern ginger plum powder, combining raw materials such as licorice powder, tangerine peel powder and preserved plum powder, and adding refreshing tea bottom and citrus juice to try to use novel ingredients to create a "liquid version of licorice fruit".

Due to the introduction of Xi Tea in the promotion, this new product with full Chaoshan flavor contains raw materials such as southern ginger, licorice, tangerine peel and preserved plum, so for the friends of Chaoshan, in addition to wondering whether it tastes good or not, in fact, everyone wants to know whether it has the flavor of southern ginger or not before drinking it. But unfortunately, many netizens said that even if they specially thickened the southern ginger when ordering, they did not drink the smell of southern ginger in the memory in the new cup of Xi tea.

However, for this exquisite new package, someone posted a video complaining that he had drunk a complete sealing coaster in the cup of Nanjiangba, a cup of tea, and found it was almost finished.

Coincidentally, another netizen also encountered the situation of "being added" when drinking this new product, and the foreign body inside was precisely this piece of sealing paper. Not long after this post was published, it attracted many consumers who had the same experience, who also held up the same drink in the hands of the blogger-a bottle of Nanjiang guava soaked in a round sealing paper.

In this regard, some netizens consulted the tea customer service, the other side said that what fell into is actually a round piece of paper used to seal the mouth of the straw, which belongs to food contact grade materials, so it does not affect consumption.

According to the workers' explanation, Xicha's new packaging design uses a double seal. Store staff need to pad a round plastic foam gasket before tightening the lid before covering it with Kraft paper and leather tendons. But because the lid itself contains a circular sealing paper, when the straw pokes into the drink a little harder, it is easy to poke the following sealing paper into the milk tea, and finally become "self-filling".
