DIY coffee mat

The designer tried to dye it with leather, but the result was always a mess, always too dark. Until we find a new way of dyeing, that is to use spray bottles. Small bottles of dye are a little expensive, miniature spray bottles are about $2, and a discarded natural leather is quite cheap.

Materials

Leather processed by plant leather, weighing 8-10 ounces

Acrylic leather dye

Tools

Knife or leather scissors

A rag or tissue.

2 oz miniature spray bottle

Instruction

1. Prepare the dye bottle and pour some water. A three-to-one ratio of mixed dye to water.

3. Acrylic paint dries for about 30 minutes.

4. Dry with a cloth for about an hour.

5. Once dry, you can cut a shape with scissors or knives.
