A person in charge of Yantai Investment Promotion Bureau said that with the continuous improvement of Yantai's economic level and investment environment, more and more global first-tier brands began to favor Yantai. Starbucks, as a world-famous coffee brand, is of great significance to Yantai.

According to reports, Starbucks' arrival in Yantai this time is not the entry of a single store, but the idea of setting up a direct store in many lots of Yantai.

The reporter learned that Starbucks has strict requirements for site selection, which must be on the first floor facing the street, with an area ranging from 80 to 200 square meters, so Starbucks set foot in Yantai and prefer mature commercial areas in site selection.

The first Starbucks coffee shop will be located on the first floor of Zhenhua Mall in the urban area. at present, the store is under renovation, and other stores are expected to be stationed in Laishan, development zones and other places in the future.

"after two years of consideration, we finally decided to open a Starbucks store in Yantai." Said Wang Xingrong, head of Starbucks' China Public Affairs Department.

According to Wang Xingrong, Starbucks carefully studies and evaluates the local investment environment and consumer market before entering a new city, such as considering urban development planning, the location of important business areas, transportation patterns, and so on, in order to choose the best time to enter the market. In Yantai, this kind of investigation began at the end of 2010 and finally matured and realized this year.
