Baoshan City Actively Promotes Coffee Export Business

It is reported that Baoshan City has actively improved coffee production conditions and carried out large-scale operation, and 15 coffee enterprises in the city have jointly set up Yunnan Bobang Coffee Co., Ltd., promoting the transformation of the city's coffee industry from small, scattered and weak management to large-scale, standardized and intensive management. In addition, Baoshan has actively opened up new channels for export. in addition to consolidating the original market, the city's coffee exporters have cooperated with Kraft Foods, the largest food giant in the United States, this year, opening up new channels for the city's coffee export.

In 2012, the export volume of coffee in Yunnan Province dropped sharply, while the unit price of export decreased, but the export volume of coffee in Baoshan increased steadily. According to statistics, from January to June 2012, Baoshan's coffee exports reached 16.2 million US dollars, an increase of 4.9 million US dollars over the same period last year.

Baoshan City is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province and is connected with Myanmar. Baoshan has more than 289000 overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese in 29 countries and regions, making it the largest hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan Province.
