Starbucks Wang Jinlong: tripling the number of coffee shops in China within 4 years

Starbucks currently has more than 17000 coffee shops in 55 countries around the world, and the company is planning to open South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia this month.

Starbucks, which currently has more than 17000 coffee shops in 55 countries, is planning to launch its Via Ready Brew instant coffee in South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Australia this month. Since opening its first coffee shop in the Chinese market in 1999, Starbucks' point network has covered 42 Chinese cities, of which 10 are new this year. Wang Jinlong said Starbucks plans to open its first coffee shop in India next year and in Vietnam in 2013.
