American boutique coffee leader Stumptown Coffee Roasters (Tree City Coffee), which was founded in 1999, was acquired by Peet's Coffee and Tea, which was founded in 1966. Peet's was acquired by the German conglomerate Joh. A. Benckiser acquisition.
