Uninvited passengers always come one after another. Recently, the Airport Bureau also detected a quarantine pest, the coffee fruit beetle, among the raw coffee beans intercepted by the Xiamen-Jinmen route. This quarantine pest was detected for the first time at Xiamen Port.
The staff of the Wutong Office of the Airport Bureau intercepted two batches of raw coffee beans, totaling 45.5 kg, at the tourism inspection site on November 14 and November 16, respectively. It is reported that these raw coffee beans have been dried, the carrier thinks that raw coffee beans can be brought into the country.
Quarantine personnel at the scene found that there were signs of moth on the coffee beans, intercepted the batch of coffee beans in accordance with the law, and then took samples for further testing. The results showed that in addition to the quarantine pest coffee fruit beetle, three kinds of fungal pests such as Alternaria, Fusarium and Cladosporium were also detected.
