Detection of quarantine pests in raw coffee beans intercepted by coffee beetles in Xiamen for the first time

The staff of the Wutong Office of the Airport Bureau intercepted two batches of raw coffee beans, totaling 45.5 kg, at the tourism inspection site on November 14 and November 16, respectively. It is reported that these raw coffee beans have been dried, the carrier thinks that raw coffee beans can be brought into the country.

Quarantine personnel at the scene found that there were signs of moth on the coffee beans, intercepted the batch of coffee beans in accordance with the law, and then took samples for further testing. The results showed that in addition to the quarantine pest coffee fruit beetle, three kinds of fungal pests such as Alternaria, Fusarium and Cladosporium were also detected.
