Xikang Road meets a number of east-west roads, including Nanjing West Road, Nanyang Road, Beijing West Road, Xinzha Road, Kangding Road, Changping Road, Yuyao Road, Haiphong Road, Anyuan Road, Xinhui Road, Changshou Road, Putuo Road, Macao Road, Yichang Road and so on.
Traditionally, Xikang Road is a residential area along the south of the road, and gradually transitions to the north into an industrial area. Nanyang intersection is Jing'an Gymnasium, which was originally the Nanyang Road meeting place built by the Shanghai Church in 1948. The new gate intersection is the Jing'an District Central Hospital.
