Starbucks to enter Disney theme Park in the United States
Sina Financial News on the evening of April 23, Beijing time, Weibo (SBUX) announced Monday that it has reached an agreement with DIS's Walt Disney theme park and resort (Walt Disney Parks and Resorts) department to open a store in each of the six Disney theme parks in California and Florida.
The company plans to open its first store this summer at Disney's California Adventure Park (Disneyland California Adventure) in Anaheim, California. In the future, it will open stores at nearby Disneyland Park and four other Disney theme parks in Orlando, Florida, including Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot. However, the opening time has not yet been determined.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Starbucks and Walt Disney theme park and resort departments say the new Starbucks stores will be integrated with the environment of the park, and passengers may need to see it twice to notice that it is a Starbucks store.
For example, the Starbucks store at Disneyland in California will be named Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe after the characters in the classic Disney fairy tale "three Little Pigs". Starbucks logos will not be posted outside the store, although the name will be printed vertically on the pillars on both sides of the entrance. The coffee shop will be built near the entrance to the park.
In addition to the full Starbucks menu, these stores are likely to offer one or two Mickey Mouse cookies.
Starbucks opened a store at Disney Village in Paris Disneyland in June 2009, but this will be the first time the company has opened a store in a Disney theme park. (whirlpool)
