Vietnam thinks coffee exports will be better than expected this year.
According to a recent report by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the market of some agricultural products, the situation of coffee export is more optimistic than before, according to a recent report by Vietnam's "material Price and Market" magazine. The report has adjusted the forecast for coffee exports in 2012 from more than 1 million tons last month to 1.15 million tons, earning foreign exchange of 2.36 billion US dollars. But volume and value will still fall by 7.2% and 13.1%, respectively, compared with 2011 data. The Yue Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development believes that the main reason is the limited domestic supply of goods and lower prices in the international market.
