Vietnamese coffee bean stocks hit a two-year low, and prices are expected to rise again.

In coffee futures markets, Robusta coffee bean futures on the London International Financial Futures Exchange closed at $2,056/ton on Friday, up 10% from a three-month low set on June 10. Robusta coffee bean futures have risen 22 percent this year. Most of the coffee beans Nestle uses are Robusta beans.

Arabica coffee futures on the intercontinental exchange are up 55% this year. Starbucks coffee beans are Arabica coffee beans.

ED&F Man Holdings, a UK commodities trader, predicts that the global coffee market shortage is expected to reach 11.3 million bags in 2014- 15, the highest in more than a decade.

In China, A-share listed company Conn Bay (600572, share bar) is involved in coffee business. According to the official website of Conn Bay, it produces three categories of coffee products, including instant coffee and coffee bean powder. The raw beans are produced in Yunnan Province and belong to Arabica coffee.
