CPSC of the United States recalls coffee machines made in China.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Applica Consumer Products Inc. announced a voluntary recall of the Black & Decker® SpacemakerTM12-cup CNC coffee machine made in China.
The recalled Black & Decker® SpacemakerTM12-cup CNC coffee machine can be installed at the bottom of the cabinet, white or black,"Black & Decker® SpacemakerTM" is marked in the upper right corner, there are digital time display and 5 buttons in the upper left corner, and the 12 coffee pots are made of glass material, the same color as the coffee machine, and the bottom of the cup has silver metal ring. The coffee machine was sold in major supermarkets in the United States from July 2008 to May 2012.
The number of items recalled this time is about 159,000. The reason for the recall is that the handle of the coffee pot is easy to break and there is a risk of scratching the user. To date, Applica Canada Corporation has received 1276 reports of broken coffee pot handles, including 68 injuries.
To this end, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately stop using the recalled coffee maker and contact Applica Consumer Products Inc. for a free replacement of the coffee cup handle.
