The second China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation meeting was held on July 3.
On July 3, the second Kunming Conference on China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation will be held in Kunming Hai Ridge Hall with the theme of "China-ASEAN Free Trade area: building Interindustry Connectivity".
The meeting was jointly organized by the Chinese Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Business Council and the Kunming Municipal Government with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The meeting will invite the ASEAN Secretariat, ambassadors and commercial counsellors of relevant ASEAN countries to China, leaders of the Association of Commerce (Association) of China and ASEAN countries, relevant heads of government departments of China and ASEAN countries, and representatives of famous entrepreneurs to attend the meeting. At that time, 200 relevant representatives of China and ASEAN countries will jointly discuss how to establish an industry docking and cooperation mechanism to promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
It is reported that this meeting will form the "Kunming consensus" of the second China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation Conference; during the meeting, the Kunming Office of the Chinese Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Business Council and the Kunming Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of some ASEAN countries will also be held.
A few days ago, Mr. Xu Ningning, Deputy Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Business Council and China's chief ASEAN business expert, said in an interview with reporters that the China-ASEAN Free Trade area was established in 2010. In October last year, Premier Wen Jiabao proposed to "establish a China-ASEAN industry docking mechanism" in his speech at the 13th China-ASEAN leaders' meeting. Xu Ningning said: we should be fully aware of the importance and urgency of enhancing bilateral industry cooperation and actively implement it as an important work to achieve the mutually beneficial and win-win goal of China-ASEAN free trade area; we should fully realize that the industry cooperation between the two sides is a systematic project, which requires active coordination among government departments, industry chambers of commerce and enterprises. We should be fully aware of the long-term nature of the industry cooperation and adjustment of the industrial structure between the two sides, and should formulate a near-medium-and long-term plan for industry cooperation according to the changes of the economic situation at home and abroad and the maturity of the big market in the free trade zone. to speed up industry cooperation in a focused, step-by-step and planned manner; we should fully realize that innovation is the vitality of industry cooperation, and realize complementary and mutually beneficial cooperation through innovation. It should be fully recognized that the purpose of industry cooperation is to improve the productivity of the free trade zone and the competitiveness of the region in the international market, and to achieve common development by strengthening industry cooperation.
At the beginning of the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade area seven or eight years ago, Xu Ningning proposed that the two sides should attach importance to industry docking work. He not only wrote articles and books for analysis, but also actively promoted it in practical work. It is reported that in the first half of this year, The Chinese Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Business Council has successively worked with China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, China Iron and Steel Industry Association, China Automobile Industry Association, China Household Appliances Association, China Printing and dyeing Industry Association, China Fisheries Association, China Stone Association, China Petroleum and Petrochemical equipment Industry Association, 21 national trade associations, including the China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Medical and Health products, have signed a framework agreement on the establishment of a strategic partnership. Xu Ningning pointed out that the guiding ideology of China-ASEAN industry cooperation is to jointly explore the ways of industry docking and cooperation between the two sides based on the principle of "complementary advantages, mutual benefit, full consultation, innovative development". Establish and improve the industry docking mechanism of the two sides, promote the construction of China-ASEAN free trade area and mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN as the goal, constantly innovate and achieve win-win results.

With the support of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, in September 2010, the first China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation meeting jointly sponsored by the Chinese Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Business Council and the Kunming Municipal Government was held in Kunming. ASEAN occupies six seats among Kunming's top 10 trading partners. In 2010, Kunming's foreign investment audit reported six overseas investment projects, with a total agreed investment of US $72.19 million, of which US $66.19 million was invested by the Chinese side, involving rubber and other agricultural products cultivation, processing and export trade, mineral exploration and commercial centers.
