With an average altitude of 2300 meters, it belongs to the subtropical humid climate zone of Himalayas. It has mild seasons, abundant precipitation, sufficient sunshine and long frost-free period. With its unique climate and environment advantages, the local area has become one of the first choice places for coffee trial planting in Xizang.

The reporter learned from Chayu County Forestry Bureau that the first trial coffee planting site was Shama Village, Xiachayu Town. This time, 500 grams of coffee were introduced from Yunnan Province, belonging to Yunnan Arabica coffee species. It is reported that the trial planting work by the Autonomous Region Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sciences and Hainan Province, Yunnan Province coffee planting experts to guide local farmers throughout the trial planting.
