On the evening of April 10, Changzhou Science and Technology Association held the 6th Science and Technology Cafe activity in the M113 Lecture Hall of Houde Building, Changzhou Campus of Hehai University. Yan Bo, a teacher from Changzhou Campus of Hehai University, is invited to share his mental experience in writing the book "Research and Protection of Changzhou Ancient Bridge Culture".

Ancient bridge heritage is the most typical representative of water cultural heritage, which has the dual advantages of material cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage. The ancient bridge is not only a typical representative of the cultural heritage of hydraulic engineering, but also contains a wealth of intangible cultural heritage. From his native land where he was born and raised, teacher Yan Bo worked hard from his simple hometown emotion, from the perspective of his professional knowledge of industrial design, and from his own cultural interest, he traveled all over the streets and villages of Changzhou, looking for the story of the ancient bridge in Changzhou, collecting the skills of the ancient bridge in Changzhou, and keeping the imprint of the ancient bridge in Changzhou, which fully embodies the academic quality of young scientific and technological workers.

In the report of nearly two and a half hours, teacher Yan Bo introduced the historical reasons for the formation of material and cultural heritage, such as the general situation of Changzhou ancient bridge, the development process of Changzhou ancient bridge, and the natural and social factors that gave birth to Changzhou ancient bridge. this paper focuses on the professional knowledge of Changzhou ancient bridge structure, stone skills, ancient bridge culture, architectural aesthetics and folk customs, and finally introduces the measures issued by relevant departments to protect Changzhou ancient bridge. Through a large number of pictures and professional explanations, he made friends at the venue have a comprehensive understanding of Changzhou ancient bridge knowledge, places of interest and intangible cultural heritage, deeply felt the details of the Dragon City, and stimulated people's pride in loving their hometown.

Teacher Yan Bo is currently the head of the Department of Industrial Design and postgraduate supervisor of Hehai University, and is a member of Changzhou Science Popularization Lecturer Group. Last year, he participated in presiding over the Changzhou National Historical and Cultural Software Project-Changzhou Ancient Bridge Cultural Research and Protection Project, and wrote works such as "Zhong Wu Yun-Shiqiao Stone Stele" and "Changzhou Ancient Bridge Cultural Research and Protection".
