Manisales Mayor Octavio Cardona tweeted on the 19th that landslides have killed 14 people and destroyed 75 houses.
Cardona tweeted earlier in the day that landslides left 22 people missing and 23 injured. He said that the local rainfall on the evening of the 18th reached 143 mm, equivalent to the usual rainfall of a month.
It is reported that local rescue departments have carried out rescue in the area where landslides occurred.
Colombia's recent rainfall has exceeded normal levels. At the beginning of this month, 314 people were killed in a mudslide in Mocoa, Putumayo province in the southwest.
