According to a report by Fujian Daily on April 22nd, the 2017 Siming International Community Charity Culture Festival, "Reading Chinese style", was launched on the West Bank Coffee Street on the banks of the lagoon in Xiamen. Chinese and foreign friends from the official community in Qianqi Street conducted a cultural exchange in Chinese folk activities such as dragon and lion dance performance, antique musical instrument performance, Chinese tea art, national drum music, glove puppet experience and so on.

The official community is one of the areas with the highest concentration of people outside Xiamen, with more than 1300 foreigners from nearly 50 countries and regions living in this community. On the same day, the organizers also held a pairing ceremony of the "Sino-Foreign Friendship and Mutual Assistance Alliance". Several family representatives from the official community came to the stage to print handprints, indicating that they will become paired families in the future and help each other in life.

In addition, a ceremony of rafting books and periodicals was launched at the scene to license the merchants of drifting book bars in the area, and foreign friends and citizens were sincerely invited to participate in book donation activities.

In the following cultural festival activities, the Xiamen Literature and Art Federation will also extend the Xiamen Literature and Art Hall to the official community, which will be held regularly every month.
