It is understood that since 2011, in order to enable villagers to shake off poverty and become rich, Houyi Township has actively adjusted the agricultural industrial structure, made full use of local land, climate, water and other resources, adopted the "company + peasant household" model, and vigorously developed the coffee industry in the villages along the Lancang River. At present, a coffee garden of 3160 mu has been built in the township. In 2016, the township produced a total of 874.7926 tons of fresh coffee fruit, with a total income of 2140670.6 yuan.

Small coffee has really become a "golden bean" for the villagers to increase their income. In order to enable more villagers to get economic benefits from growing coffee, the township will expand the planting scale of 1000 mu in 2017. Through the development of coffee industry, the township has not only rapidly promoted the increase of farmers' income, but also effectively improved the ecological environment of the whole township and improved the quality of human settlements.
