A 52-year-old man in Turin, Italy, committed suicide live online and finally gave up the idea of committing suicide because of a cup of cappuccino, the Russian satellite website reported on May 19.

The man locked himself in his sixth-floor home a day ago and began throwing furniture, daily necessities and even aquariums at pedestrians from the balcony, the report said.

The man also broadcast live on Facebook, asking to see a reporter, saying that he was threatened by a mafia. It can be seen from the live broadcast that he has a pistol.

It is reported that, "after a 22-hour struggle, the bipolar businessman from the Calabria region was finally persuaded by several carbine gunmen who brought cappuccino for breakfast and opened the door."

The man's motive for suicide is unclear, but according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, he was treated in a mental hospital last year.
