Living in the 55-year-old Tuotian old building, "Nao Studio" was established in May 2017. the brand-new compound art space combines boutique coffee, exhibition space, interior design, texture selection and so on. Collection of life taste in the full flavor of the grindstone old house. "noisy" has the meaning of playing, joking, exuberant and carnival, as well as the meaning of progress and occurrence, which echoes with the English word "NOW". Founder Monica said that the brand wants to convey a relaxed and humorous view of daily life such as food, work and entertainment, with coffee snacks, art exhibitions, design selections, and so on, to satisfy people's imagination of texture life!

Preserve the space design with traditional characteristics

The novel concept is carried by the old house, the common millstone materials of the 1960s carry out five floors, the exterior paint is quietly black, the interior and ceiling mud are hand-painted decorative feet (moulding), the studio is added with delicate lines to highlight the ceiling decoration, and the color is used to distinguish the spatial properties of the floor. Red lights up the independent coffee shop on the first and second floor, while the exhibition space on the third floor uses a smooth gray, the design showroom on the fourth floor and the studio guesthouse are presented in quiet blue, and the fifth floor with a pure white roof is the founder's residence and storage space. In the space design thinking, retain the architectural elements of the old house, highlight the exquisite construction method of the former man-made house, and use contemporary materials and design vocabulary to create a space state in which the new and the old coexist.

The original intention of Chuangdian is to establish a working coffee shop suitable for freelance workers, through space design arrangements, to provide the public with a pressure-free environment for chatting, reading and working. In addition to creating comfortable domestic use and overseas use, a powerful take-out bar has also been set up for nearby consumer groups to quickly serve an exquisite drink for busy office workers. The fully open kitchen bar design boldly shows the real working state of the kitchen field and tries to achieve interesting interaction with guests.

The shop offers boutique coffee, tea, slow grinding season vegetable juice, craft beer, light snacks, hand-made desserts, and irregular development of specialty drinks and desserts, as well as selling texture options. such as a variety of color green glass straws, cement design household products, as well as cultural sundries and so on.

Avant-garde art mash-up retro to create a trouble space

The purpose of the establishment is to integrate and share art and design resources, to establish an experimental art platform, and to provide a variety of exhibitions, performances, lectures and other activities from time to time, so as to add interesting and lively life to the old city of Taipei. In June 2017, Naoyang launched a cooperative project with the professional art curator team "Free Man Art apartment" to produce experimental and innovative art projects through the integration of cross-disciplinary resources.
