Starbucks' chicken sushi rolls contain sushi rice, shredded chicken, cucumbers, pickled cabbage, onions and tomato salsa sauce, which are wrapped in seaweed, which is produced by Starbucks' Mercato line. The Starbucks Mercato line also has other take-away lunches, such as sandwiches and soup.
Starbucks currently sells chicken sushi rolls in only two stores in the United States, both in Chicago.
Separately, South Korea's SK Telecom (Sk telecom) announced yesterday that SK Telecom would work with Starbucks to launch a voice-to-point coffee service using the company's artificial intelligence (AI) speaker NUGU, which will be available by the end of the year.
Under the agreement, SK Telecom plans to connect NUGU to Starbucks App's Siren ordering service, where NUGU users will be able to order drinks by talking to NUGU and then pick up meals at Starbucks stores.
