From August 26 to 27, the Northeast Competition of 2017 China baristas skills Competition, hosted by Cheng Hai, executive director of Dalian Yanbian Chamber of Commerce, and you (Dalian) Catering Management Co., Ltd., was held in Kaisaye Square. This competition brings together professional coffee skills teachers in Northeast China to show off their skills, and the professional judges comment in detail.

According to reports, the "China barista skills Competition" is currently the only coffee industry event named after the national brand. The aim is to train and tap the best baristas, promote the development of the domestic coffee market and industrial chain, and enhance the skills and service awareness of professional baristas. The 2017 competition is divided into Suzhou, Dongguan, Chengdu and Dalian. The winner of this competition will represent the Northeast in the finals held in Changsha to compete with the top professional coffee technicians in the country.
