With one month to go before the end of the harvest year, the Honduran Coffee Association (Ihcafe) pointed out that Acer coffee exports in 2016 and 2017 will hit an all-time high.

According to Ihcafe, from October 1 last year to August 24 this year, the total export volume of Honduran coffee has reached 9.13 million 4112 bags (46 kg each).

Compared with the same period last year, Hongguo's coffee exports totaled 6.47 million 2377 bags, an increase of 2.66 million 1735 bags, with a growth rate of 41.1 percent.

According to Ihcafe, Honduras exported 6.7 million 4359 bags of coffee in the 2015-2016 harvest, an increase of only 200000 bags compared to 2014 and 2015.

According to the analysis of Ihcafe personnel, the main reason for the growth of Honduran coffee exports this year is the increase in production, especially in areas affected by leaf rust in the past few years, and the improvement of production technology is also one of the factors.
