Don't want to be a world champion in sales, not a good barista.
It was Dale himself who communicated and cooperated with Has Bean last year. In daily life, in addition to competition training, he also plays a leading role in brand sales.
🐧 Penguin: your position at Has Bean is sales Manager. How do you usually connect your work with the game?
🏆 Dale Harris: I work in a small team, which means that everyone on the team has to be multi-tasked (here the startup goose nodded desperately). I am mainly responsible for communicating with customers so that they can better understand Has Bean's coffee. Although I don't make coffee at the bar every day, I still spend a lot of time practicing and preparing for the competition.
The team behind the Has Bean brand is not big, which surprised the goose. On the official website, Has Bean has at least 80 kinds of coffee beans on sale, not only a large number, but also an astonishingly fast update speed.
On such a large scale and at the top level in the world, it requires everyone on the team to reach their maximum potential.
Of course, the most important thing to ignore is the founder of Has Bean-Steve Leighten!
When it comes to Has Bean, many people will think of its iconic red. Founder Steve Leighten is the best spokesman for this red, every time he appears, he will wear red: red tie, red suit, red leather shoes, red hair.
He spent several years almost all over the world, establishing long-term relationships with numerous coffee farms and estates.
Because of the close network behind, Has Bean can always get the best quality raw beans in the first place.

In this year's WBC final, all the top six contestants chose Geishas, except Dale.

🐧 Penguin: why did you choose El Salvador SL28 coffee bean in the final?
🏆 Dale Harris: we also tried Geishas, Ethiopian coffees and Washed and natural Kenyans, but this SL28 left the most special impression on me.
There is no "standard answer" to winning coffee. More importantly, whether the coffee beans can resonate with the barista and give him the passion to present them to more people.
Dale tells us that his Salvadoran SL28 coffee beans, from Mist Manor, are grown by Ernesto Menendez and are part of the Wild Coffee Project.
SL28, originally a common bean in Africa's Kenya 🇰🇪, was brought by a farmer from Africa to El 🇸🇻 in Central America 60 years ago. What really made El Salvador SL28 famous is the manor owner Ernesto Menendez mentioned by Dale.
Ernesto Menendez and his wife
Ernesto Menendez is the most famous coffee farmer in El Salvador and is known in the industry as the "terrible award-winning machine". His manor has an elegant name-Mist Manor.

The manor is located in a forest at an altitude of 1450-1700 meters, surrounded by volcanoes. With rich and deep volcanic soil and clouds all the year round, the coffee cherries here ripen slowly and have high sweetness.
Ernesto Menendez launched the "Wild Coffee Project", hoping to simulate the growing environment of wild coffee and even grow coffee like a primeval forest, so the yield is very rare!
