Where is Gunda in Japan? GUNDAM Caf é, a themed cafe, announced the closure of all cafes in March next year.
On November 1st, Japan's Gunda themed cafe "GUNDAM Caf é" officially announced that it would permanently close all physical stores and online Gundam Cafe.

According to the official coffee shop notice, GUNDAM SQUARE, which is located near the Osaka Expo Memorial Park, will be closed first on January 10, 2022.

The "GUNDAM Cafe TOKYO BRAND CORE", Taichi and Fukuoka stores, which are located in Akiba's original store, will be closed on January 30 next year.

However, the "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA" store in the Gunda campus in Yokohama will remain open until the end of the exhibition period, which is currently scheduled to end at the end of March next year, and the last cafe will be closed in late March 2022, meaning that all cafes in Japan will be closed in a short period of three months.

According to public sources, GUNDAM Caf é has been operating for 11 years, and the first store opened in Akihabara Station in Japan in April 2010. it is said to be a well-known landmark in Japan and a must-visit place for all fans of the Kunda series to visit Tokyo.
"GUNDAM Caf é" is famous for providing food and beverages for up to a series of animated series, and has opened several branches, including GUNDAM Cafe TOKYO BRAND CORE in Akihabara, Taisha, Fukuoka and GUNDAM SQUARE in Osaka.

In July last year, GUNDAM Cafe Akiba upgraded to an immersive experience-themed restaurant while absorbing the original "AKB48 CAFE" next door, a move that quadrupled the size of the store and later renamed it "GUNDAM Cafe TOKYO BRAND CORE".
With regard to the news that the scale was only expanded last year and suddenly closed this year, many netizens said: "Unfortunately," at present, the authorities have not given further details on the "shop closure" to the outside world, but outsiders believe that it may be related to the epidemic.
However, the official announcement of Gunda Cafe in Japan said: in the future, it will learn from the experience of "GUNDAM Caf é" and "strive to provide an exchange field for supporters in line with the current trend. Please look forward to new plans in the future."
A week ago, a well-known cafe in Sydney also announced its closure.

A Sydney Lindt cafe and its Martin Plaza store have decided not to renew their lease after 17 years of operation and will be closed permanently at the end of this month, News reported.
It is understood that the main reason for the closure of the cafe was also hit by the epidemic. A spokesman for the cafe said in a statement: "in the past two years, due to the continued impact of construction work and the epidemic, the Martin Plaza store has been affected, and the lease of the site is about to expire. After careful consideration, it was decided to close the Chocolate Cafe in Martin Square."

So far, there are still five Lindt chocolate cafes open in Sydney. In fact, since the outbreak of COVID-19 last year, the outbreak has led to the closure of most cafes, including Starbucks, which announced in a statement on March 24 last year. Starbucks temporarily closed most of its stores in the United States and Canada, providing only takeout or takeout services. Starbucks said in June 2020 that it planned to close 400 stores over the next 18 months, when Starbucks said it planned to close 200 stores in Canada over the next two years even if it reopened after the COVID-19 epidemic. Starbucks also temporarily closed a number of stores in New York City on January 17 this year. In addition, earlier last year, the global outbreak of pneumonia also led to the closure of restaurants in many places, and many restaurants were unable to provide normal dining services, so many food and beverage giants had to implement the strategy of "shrinking" their stores.
