Recently, some netizens posted a message on the community that a coffee shop under renovation in Taipei City, China Taiwan is suspected to be the first store opened in Taiwan by the coffee chain brand Lucky.

Judging from the photos circulated on the Internet, a total of three announcements were posted at the entrance of the coffee shop under construction. The first one is a "Talent Recruitment Order" with white characters on a blue background, marking the complete salary from the barista to the store manager; the second one is the "Interior Decoration Construction Permit" posted on the gray wall, and the applicant writes "Shunyu Holdings Co., Ltd."; the third one is a simple design with a dark blue background "Please look forward to the grand opening soon."

Although "Lucky" and the familiar Elk logo do not appear on these announcements, their poster design style and copywriting color matching inevitably make people think. Moreover, the English logo and pattern of Luckin Coffee were posted on the menu of the official website of Shunyu Company, which was suspected of being an agent, and it was announced that "the first store is expected to debut in December 2025", which aroused great attention from all walks of life about Luckin's entry into the Taiwan coffee market.

Lianhe Zaobao stated that in April this year, local Taiwan authorities had received a total of 30 trademark applications for Chinese Luckin coffee, English luckin coffee, trademark design drawings, etc., designated for use in coffee-related goods and services. The application was issued with an approval document on September 25.

It is reported that this is not the first time Ruixing has applied for a trademark in Taiwan. It first applied in 2019. However, due to relevant local regulations, trademark applications will be repealed if they are not used within three years. Therefore, from the outside world, Ruixing's move to apply for a trademark may be a normal business act to prevent pre-emptive registration and cause trademark disputes.

It was not until recently that Shunyu Company published signs such as Luckin's recruitment announcement and the coffee shop under construction on the human resources website that people from all walks of life could not help but turn their attention to Luckin, speculating that it might follow Starbucks 'approach and use agents to operate Taiwan stores and manage related matters.

At the same time, the news sparked heated discussions on local social platforms. You know, the competition in the Taiwan coffee market has always been fierce. In addition to the well-known chain brand Starbucks and the local chain brand Louisa, there are also countless small and medium-sized coffee brands, coffee services provided by 7-Eleven convenience stores, and hidden in the streets. Community cafes and so on.

In random street interviews conducted by the media, most local coffee consumers took a wait-and-see attitude towards Luckin's presence, saying that they have many coffee shops to choose from and may not necessarily become Luckin's customers. However, some people also said that if Luckin coffee is more cost-effective than similar products on the market, they may consider buying it."If it is cheaper, I will drink it because coffee feels that Starbucks is selling too expensive now."

However, a local reporter called according to the contact information on the recruitment announcement to learn about the opening of Ruixing's store, but found that no one connected, so it was impossible to determine whether Ruixing Coffee would open a store in Taiwan or the specific opening time of the coffee shop under renovation.
