Recently, Southern Metropolis Daily reported that a consumer in Fujian posted multiple posts and videos on social platforms, complaining that he found a squirming live worm in the vanilla cream melon Qifeng milk tea purchased by Lele Tea.

It is understood that on March 19, the party concerned purchased a vanilla cream melon Qifeng drink at a local Lele tea store in Fuqing City, Fujian Province through a takeout platform. After receiving the drink, he found that there was a squirming light-colored live insect on the smoothie of the milk tea, so he reported the situation back to the store and posted his experience on social media.

This incident immediately attracted the attention and discussion of onlookers, and Lele Tea officials also immediately noticed the feedback from consumers. On March 23, a reporter from Nandu Bay Financial Society asked the store involved to learn about the situation. The staff said that the store was currently investigating the matter and found no problems in the beverage production monitoring.

Staff said that normally the smoothie temperature is 0 ° C or below. At this temperature, even if there are live insects, they will not wriggle as quickly as the video shows. At the same time, the shop assistant revealed that the store tried many times to communicate with consumers, but refused to communicate with the room and did not accept compensation, only hoping to keep the post.

On the same day, the Fuqing City Market Supervision Bureau told reporters that it had paid attention to the food safety incident and had gone to the store to inspect. In response to this matter, on March 24, the relevant person in charge of Lele Tea was interviewed by reporters and said that after verification, after receiving feedback from customers that "living worms appeared in drinks" on March 19, the store involved made the refund as soon as possible. The refund was processed and the customer was told that the store would conduct a self-examination and provide a reply.

The next day (March 20), the market supervision department where the store was located visited the store and checked the store's hygiene, raw material expiration date, purchase certificate, operation room and operating equipment, and there were no abnormalities. At present, store and brand customer service are actively contacting customers to provide customers with satisfactory processing results. As of the publication, videos and related posts posted by consumers could not be found on social platforms.
