Study: coffee stimulates and secretes more stomach acid to help defecate

The American Chemical Society has released a short film explaining how coffee stimulates the intestines to help defecate. Scientists say that a cup of coffee contains more than a thousand compounds, of which more than one substance stimulates defecation, so they hope to find this mysterious laxative. At the beginning of the experiment, scientists thought the substance was caffeine in coffee. However, they later found that even drinking decaffeinated coffee had the same effect, while drinking cola with the same caffeine had no laxative effect.
Scientists later discovered that coffee contains a chlorogenic acid (chlorogenic acid), which stimulates some people to secrete more stomach acid to digest extra protein, causing food waste to flow into the intestines more quickly, just like having a big meal, thus creating the effect that people want to go to the toilet after drinking coffee.
