China's first coffee bean inspection and quarantine industry standard issued
A (correspondent Wang Shiwei, Zheng Huifang) on September 2, the General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the "Inspection and Quarantine procedures for Export small Coffee beans", ending the history that there are no industry standards in the quality inspection of coffee beans in China.
The coffee inspection and quarantine standards implemented in the past in China have some problems, such as lack of systematicness, lack of pertinence, serious lag and so on, which seriously restrict the development of coffee inspection and quarantine, foreign trade and coffee industry. In order to meet the requirements of international trade in coffee products and serve the local coffee industry and economic development, the Pu'er entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau applied to the State Commission for Accreditation and Supervision in 2009 to formulate the Inspection and Quarantine rules for Export small Coffee, which was approved. Through a large number of investigations and extensive solicitation of opinions from coffee production enterprises and foreign trade enterprises, and on the basis of accumulating a large amount of data, and through nearly five years of efforts, the "Inspection and Quarantine regulations for Export small Coffee beans" was formulated. This standard was approved by the State Accreditation and Supervision Commission in Xiamen in December 2013 and will be implemented on April 1, 2016.
It is understood that the Inspection and Quarantine regulations for Export small Coffee beans stipulate the terms and definitions, packaging, sampling, inspection and quarantine, result determination and sample preservation of export small seed coffee beans, which are applicable to the inspection and quarantine of export small grain coffee beans.
