This is the first prosumer that attracted my attention, and its beautiful shape is universally recognized by almost all forums. However, in addition to the appearance, the performance is not inferior to other brands. Mainly divided into Super and Junior series, and the two series are HX and DB models. The size is the most obvious difference between the two series, whether the size of the storage tank or the boiler is significantly different. Take HX as an example, the boiler of Super is 1.8L and the Junior is 1L, while the Junior DB is even smaller, the steam boiler is only 0.75L and the hot water boiler is 0.6L, it is difficult to continuously brew multiple cups, and according to the experience of the discussion area, the steam volume can only beat two cups of 12oz milk at a time. Other differences are details, but will affect the heating rate and temperature stability. The boiler temperature of Junior is controlled by Jaeger's pressurstat, while Super is controlled by Parker. ProLind is used for water control of Junior boiler and GICAR is used for Super. To be honest, I don't know how different the performance of these brands is. I can only speculate that the more expensive the machine is, the better it should be. On DBs, the biggest difference between Super and Junior is that Super has temperature control by PID, while Junior does not, which may be a significant defect for DB, but Hi Tech Espresso sells an improved version and adds PID to Junior DB, which is a cost-effective revision.
