According to Japan's Asahi Shimbun, Starbucks plans to open a second such store in Shanghai next year, while it will open a third and fourth such coffee shop in New York and Tokyo in 2018. The shop is named "Starbucks Reserve Roastery" (commonly known as "Buck Zhenxuan Coffee Roaster" in Chinese), and customers can see the roasting process of coffee beans up close while enjoying the coffee.

It is understood that Starbucks Corp appointed Belinda Wong as Starbucks' first CEO in China on October 19 and plans to increase the number of stores to 5000 by 2021, more than double the current number. It also means that about 500 new stores will be opened in each of the next five years. At the same time, Wang Jingying will also be in charge of the "bakery" that Starbucks opened in Shanghai in 2017.

As early as May 26, Starbucks announced the construction of a "bakery" in Shanghai. It is reported that the new coffee roaster will have a total floor area of 2700 square meters, surpassing the New York store announced in April this year to become the largest Starbucks cafe in the world.
