London International Financial Futures Exchange Coffee Futures trend is weak
Gold Investment Futures on August 4, due to producers selling and profit-taking. Last day, two agencies downgraded their Brazilian coffee harvest forecasts, causing the market to worry again about the impact of the Brazilian drought on crops.
London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE)-September Robusta coffee futures closed down $7, or 0.3%, at $2097 a tonne.
ICE- October raw sugar futures fell 0.11 cents, or 0.7%, to close at 16.35 cents per pound. LIFFE- 's October white sugar contract closed down $2, or 0.5%, at $435.70 a tonne.
ICE- September cocoa futures closed down $12, or 0.4%, at $3207 a tonne. At one point, London cocoa futures rose to 1994 a tonne, the month's contract high for cocoa, closing down 1, or 0.05 per cent, at 1988 a tonne.
