Laundroid really figured out how to move the automatic clothes folding machine into the cafe.

Panasonic had earlier exhibited the automatic folding machine laundroid. As soon as this machine appeared, it caused a sensation, and it was a great thing to be able to sort and store clothes automatically. Finally, laundroid is now taking commercial orders, and there is even a special coffee shop opening for it in Tokyo.

Laundroid cafe, which will open on March 18, has set up a laundroid automatic folding machine in the store, and customers who come to experience it will be able to use the machine themselves to experience the effect of folding clothes. The reason for choosing to experience it in a coffee shop is also simple. Laundroid folding takes a lot of time, and people can chat in the coffee shop and have some afternoon tea while observing the effect of laundroid folding. Laundroid's finest classification can automatically identify polo shirts and T-shirts. As long as the experiencer throws in a piece of clothing, the machine automatically classifies it according to the material and appears in the display cabinet in about 10 minutes. The machine carries out the steps of grabbing-extravagant-folding-sorting-storage inside, and all we have to do is throw a piece of clothing into it. Unfortunately, it does not work in multiple threads and can only fold one piece of clothing at a time, so it will take about an hour to fold almost six ordinary shirts.

According to Panasonic's plan, laundroid will be officially available for commercial use this year. Compared with the earliest display machines, the current commercial machines have improved greatly in the efficiency of folding clothes. However, because the whole machine occupies a large area, it is not suitable for individual users, and the price of the first laundroid has reached 1.85 million yen (about 112531 yuan), which makes Panasonic think it is worth opening a cafe for people to experience.

Laundroid will accept orders after May 30, and the first machines will be officially launched at the end of 2017. According to Panasonic, the first machines will be stationed in various welfare facilities or hospitals to provide folding facilities for people with mobility disabilities.
