In this regard, Shangdao Coffee Shanghai headquarters said that the store is a franchise store, the right to apply for a card does not belong to them.

Members were shut out by "standing up" in other stores.

Mr. Wang, who works in a bank on Jiefang Road, is a "loyal fan" of Shangdao Coffee. In November last year, he applied for a 3000 yuan stored value card for members at Shangdao Coffee Financial Store. In early April this year, Mr. Wang was going to invite customers to the store to discuss things, but there was no answer when he called the store to book a seat. When Mr. Wang came to the store, he found that the building was empty. "without telling me in advance to close the door, I still have more than 2000 yuan in my card, which is so unauthentic." Mr. Wang said that when he dined at the restaurant in February this year, he found no sign of closing down, but now he was suddenly "stood up."

In Mr. Wang's impression, Shangdao Coffee is a national chain store, which is supposed to be closed and can be consumed in other stores. However, when he went to other stores with his stored value card, he could not get recognition and was forced to shut the door. "the statement given to me by other stores is not the same, and the owner is not alone, so I can't use it."

The Shanghai headquarters responded that the franchise store was operated independently.

On the morning of April 8, the reporter came to Shangdao Coffee, which is located at 159 Jiefang Road. The sign "Shangdao Coffee" on the door has been removed, leaving vaguely empty words. The door was locked, the glass door was littered with tables and chairs, the bar was cluttered, and the ground was vaguely shrouded in dust through the dim light. According to nearby merchants, the store has been doing well since its opening. It has handled a lot of membership cards and patronized by many regular customers, but it was left idle half a month ago when it was closed overnight for some unknown reason.

Subsequently, the reporter called Shangdao Coffee Shandong headquarters, which was not answered. After that, the reporter called Shangdao Coffee Shanghai headquarters on this matter, customer service staff said that the store is a franchise store, not the company's chain stores, so the store's membership card can not be used in other stores. As for the closure of the store, the customer service staff said that joining the store is an independent operation and does not belong to them.
