The main purpose of this trip to London is to attend the London Coffee Festival 2017 (The London Coffee Festival, 2017). Excited, happy. Here is my share:

It has been seven years since the three-day London Coffee Festival (April 6-9, 2017). Coffee traders, coffee enthusiasts and coffee industry people from all over the world gather in London at the beginning of April every year. The Coffee Festival is held in London's very trendy east end area, close to brick lane, where fashion and post-industrial landscapes, hippie retro and urban upstart reflect each other, about what the city looks like in London's east end today.

Stroll through the streets of Shortditch

The fashion of London east end is mixed.

Abandoned factories are often occupied by fashionable people

About Shortditch, let's save it for next time.

Once the East end of London was unflattering, the industrial area formed since the industrial revolution was cut off on the other side of the Thames, where the lower working people lived in what used to be a dirty and chaotic urban area, and in the urban process again and again, the East end was completely reshuffled, surrounded by trendy restaurants and fashion shops around east end in the brick lane and Shortditch areas. Before and after the London Olympic Games, the land on the East side was even more expensive. Shortditch was occupied by entrepreneurs, designers and artists, and the niche urban yuppie was stationed here, making east end a new London landscape-- but this is not the last two or three years. East end has matured to a high degree of commercialization and lost its initial excitement. But for new visitors to London to provide a psychedelic and longing opportunity to visit the city! The next tweet will introduce you to my experience at Shortditch, including hotels, cafes, fashion stores, neighborhoods, etc.)

For those who queue up for admission outside the coffee festival, remember to buy tickets online in advance.

When it comes to the London Coffee Festival, even if you book tickets from the official website in advance, you need to wait in line at the gate of the venue (15 Hanbury Street) early. After entering, you can get a complimentary site map and green bag, and then you can follow the clues to find different exhibition areas, drink coffee, taste coffee-related food, and blend into the romantic atmosphere of the coffee festival.

The distinctive cafes make people linger.

The stylish barista pulls flowers for you on the spot.

Even if I am used to drinking coffee and have some basic knowledge of coffee brewing, I am also lost at the scene of the coffee festival, because there are too many cafes to participate in the exhibition, and when I am overwhelmed, I am always attracted by charming baristas, handsome and beautiful people. And most baristas give you free coffee on the spot can really make you fascinated and have the result of palpitations (be careful, don't drink too much, if you drink all the way, something will happen! )

Barista and dessert chef are the same scenery.

At the coffee festival, I think it's better to take what you need. If you are a coffee layman, just to drink coffee to join the fun, find some of your favorite cafes to show off, experience the skills of baristas, or go straight to the second floor, where there are brewed teas and desserts. You can drink coffee while having breakfast, and enjoy a live band performance on the second floor for a relaxing weekend.

You can sign up for coffee workshop in advance.

If you are a person who wants to learn coffee knowledge, book the coffee workshop held at the coffee festival site in advance, learn about coffee brewing, communicate with workshop participants on the spot, learn about coffee culture, what is coffee tasting and how to do coffee tasting (cupping) and other coffee-related knowledge.

A table decorated by a florist

There is a bruch eating area on the first floor, which is very beautiful.

Around coffee, there are also floral works.

Bloomon Flower Shop provides floral works for cafes in London.

All kinds of extended products are also popular.

If you want to have a brunch, there is a beautiful restaurant in the catering area on the first floor. The table decorated by the florist reveals a kind of aesthetic and modern impression. The simple meal made on the spot has an attractive taste, including summer barbecue food, salad staple food, etc., the atmosphere of the restaurant is also very good, come and go freely, invite about three or five friends, here a small gathering, very leisurely. The most interesting thing about the London Coffee Festival is that there is a cross-border cooperation between gourmet food and coffee, and the enlightened dishes and drinks show a kind of creativity and interest. For example, you can try coffee cocktails and raw oysters soaked in coffee at the scene, which is a wonderful experiment for coffee as a single drink in the field of creative food.

The extension of some drinks according to coffee is also a tasting highlight of the coffee festival.

If you still want to feel the style of the Coffee Masters, watch the Masters and feel the vitality of the London Coffee Festival at the Coffee Masters in the lobby on the first floor. The last day of the Coffee Festival is the final day of the Coffee Masters, so it can be arranged on the last day. Coffee bosses with a lot of title in the coffee industry will host the finals, and the big shots from the Japanese coffee industry and the American coffee industry are really a highlight of the final. The key is the charm they exude: unruly, chic, fun and free.

Go to the scene and experience the elegant demeanor of the Coffee Masters.

Of course, the friends who come to attend the coffee festival are the biggest attractions of the coffee festival, aren't they? People are always the most interesting things. It seems that I went to a soft music festival, and the newcomers were very relaxed and enjoyed, dressed beautifully and handsomely, visible tattoos, muscles that the Buddha could touch, and long and short hair. The point is, I like the gesture of freedom, the feeling of the city we love, and it slowly seeps into my heart at the scene of the London Coffee Festival, even when I take a cup of coffee brewed from the barista.

There is a live band in the dining area on the second floor.

Be fascinated by this eulogy store

Different shapes, rich raw materials, excellent taste!

Free, kind, casual, fun

The main body of the coffee festival is these fashionable people, shuttling through different exhibition halls, occasionally swaying to the DJ music of the cafe, feeling a hippie and free and easy in the East end of London.

Of course, if it is not your first time to participate in the London Coffee Festival, you are more familiar with it. While watching the latest trends in the global coffee industry and the development trend of the boutique coffee industry, pay attention to environmental protection, fair trade coffee, how to reduce environmental pollution, and solve real problems such as poverty in developing countries by growing coffee. At the exhibition site, Project Waterfall and Coffee Kids, the two companies have always been committed to protecting the natural environment from the source of the industrial chain, protecting workers living in poverty and their families, declaring war on a changing global climate, deteriorating water quality and growing labor inequality between men and women.

Paying attention to the environment is also a theme of the coffee festival.

Cotton and linen cloth bags obtained during the coffee festival

Cotton and linen is produced in India and is also the work of a London-based fair trade company.

The magazine of the coffee festival is also very beautiful.

Introduced the charming cafes in other cities.

Walking out of the venue of this year's London Coffee Festival, I found in a trance that I had been here when I first came to London in 2009, but the old buildings were requisitioned as a weekend market. Memories and reality are intertwined, and the tourists gathered from brick lane make east end appear in a novel atmosphere. The smell of coffee has passed through the venue of the coffee festival, and as time goes by, London has not changed much, but the area of the city is more integrated and the East end, where business atmosphere and creative ideas are torn apart, is not very fashionable.

It's past 12:00, and people waiting for admission are still waiting in line.

But when I walked through the Shortditch Overground station, the early momentum of London was still looming. The tenacity and lovely sloppiness of brick lane was a kind of back-and-forth London flavor that people liked.

Through a tunnel full of graffiti and posters

It's the Shortditch Overground station.
