Howard Schultz, chief executive of Starbucks, said the company plans to open its boutique in Zhicheng in 2019, replacing the existing home decoration store "Crate & Barrel" on Michigan & Erie on Michigan Avenue. As the first person to propose a Starbucks boutique, Schutz wrote down the idea of making the Willy Wonka of coffee in 2009 and announced the chain project in a magazine. Chicago, as one of the most important sites for the Starbucks boutique project 30 years after its establishment, is expected to cover an area of 40, 3000 square feet. It is not only the third boutique after Seattle and New York in 2014 (planned for 2018), but also successfully set a record for building the world's largest storefront of 30,000 square feet in China.
