Coffee exports from Honduras have grown by 49.5% this year.

The Honduran Coffee Association (Ihcafe) pointed out in a report that Honduran coffee exports totaled US $621.28 million so far this harvest year, compared with US $415.61 million in the same period last year.

From October last year to April this year, Honduras exported a total of 4.48 million metric tons of coffee, up 33.3 percent from 3.36 million metric tons in the same period last year, according to Ihcafe.

According to the report, during the above period of the current harvest year, the international average price of coffee reached US $145.74 per picul, compared with an average of US $126.78 in the same period in 2015-2016.

According to the report, Germany, the United States, Belgium, Italy and France remained the main importers of Honduran coffee during the above period, accounting for 77.7% of Hongguo's total coffee exports.
