Located about 5000 feet north of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountains, the Santa Ana volcano (also translated as Volcan Santa Ana in Spanish) is located in the southwest of El Salvador, the highest mountain in the country (2362 m (7749 ft) 2381 m).
