The American Fine Coffee Association (Specialty Coffee Association of America, hereinafter referred to as SCAA), founded in 1982, is the largest coffee trade association in the world. Its members are more than 3,000 companies in more than 40 countries around the world, covering all areas of the coffee supply chain, including producers, roasters, equipment manufacturers and all kinds of coffee traders. It has absolute scale and credibility in the coffee industry.
During the founding period of SCAA, Mr. Pitt promoted freshly baked coffee, while Ms. Kennusen was responsible for promoting boutique coffee with local flavor. Under the influence and inspiration of the two, a total of 48 coffee watchers, including Ted Lingle, Donald Schoenholt, George Howell and so on, met in San Francisco in 1982 to co-founded SCAA and later became the core organization leading the global coffee trend. And give Mr. Pitt and Ms. Kennusen the name of coffee godfather and coffee godmother.
The professionalism of world authority
SCAA is committed to the excellent quality of coffee "from seed to cup (From Seed to Cup)", sets the standard of fine coffee, and establishes the skill certification of coffee professionals. The Coffee Professional Certificate issued by SCAA is the most authoritative and credible certification in the world. At the same time, SCAA also provides coffee-related courses, training and business services for its members, making it the premier international coffee trade association in the coffee industry.

The influence of the world's pioneers
After the establishment of SCAA in the United States, countries around the world began to follow in its footsteps. SCAE in Europe and SCAJ in Japan. In 2007, Taiwan also established the Fine Coffee Association (Taiwan Association of Specialty Coffee), and the world coffee industry began to receive more attention. Led by the United States, SCAA has gradually set off a black tide of fine coffee all over the world, advocating the original flavor of coffee, paying attention to the producing areas and sources of coffee beans, and different ways of handling coffee beans, leading the world to a more professional level.
The SCAA Annual meeting held in Atlanta this year is a comprehensive display platform for the coffee industry, combining practitioners in related industries of the coffee supply chain, and providing a space for the exchange of soft coffee services. After year-by-year development and progress, it has developed its own unique style, and it is also one of the irreplaceable communication platforms for the coffee industry, attracting nearly 10,000 professional viewers to visit every year.
