The China News Service reported that in the first half of 2017, the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau accepted a total of 1.2263 million batches of entry and exit goods (including the Border people Exchange), with a value of US $5.142 billion, an increase of 26.96% and 11.25% respectively over the same period last year. The export of fruits inspected and quarantined by the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 191900 tons and US $377 million, up 80.87% and 50.8% respectively over the same period last year, while the export of vegetables was 499000 tons and US $354 million, up 87.24% and 16.45% respectively over the same period last year.

In addition, the coffee industry in Yunnan has shown a good development trend, with the total output and export volume showing a large increase. In the first half of the year, the export coffee inspected and quarantined by the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 55200 tons and 256 million US dollars, ranking first in the export value of individual commodities.

According to the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, up to now, 630 registered orchards with 885000 mu of exported fruits have been built in the province. Many plateau products in Yunnan have become well-known brands, such as Shangri-La matsutake, Dehong Hougu coffee, longrun Pu'er tea and other export food enterprises, including Yunnan plateau characteristic matsutake, tea, coffee, quick-frozen / dehydrated vegetables, tilapia and so on.
