Yunnan coffee exports 55,200 tons of coffee in the first half of 2017, 256 million US dollars

Yunnan entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (hereinafter referred to as Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau) held a press conference to inform: in the first half of 2017, Yunnan coffee industry showed a good development trend, with 55200 tons of coffee exported through inspection and quarantine by the bureau, worth 256 million US dollars, ranking first in the value of individual export commodities.

The China News Service reported that in the first half of 2017, the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau accepted a total of 1.2263 million batches of entry and exit goods (including the Border people Exchange), with a value of US $5.142 billion, an increase of 26.96% and 11.25% respectively over the same period last year. Among them, the largest inspection and quarantine batches and value of outbound goods in the province are plant products, and the value of food and cosmetics ranks second.

In the first half of 2017, Yunnan's exports of fruits and vegetables continued to maintain a strong momentum of development. The export of fruits inspected and quarantined by the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 191900 tons and US $377 million, up 80.87% and 50.8% respectively over the same period last year, while the export of vegetables was 499000 tons and US $354 million, up 87.24% and 16.45% respectively over the same period last year.

In addition, the coffee industry in Yunnan has shown a good development trend, with the total output and export volume showing a large increase. In the first half of the year, the export coffee inspected and quarantined by the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 55200 tons and 256 million US dollars, ranking first in the export value of individual commodities.

According to the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, up to now, 630 registered orchards with 885000 mu of exported fruits have been built in the province. Many plateau products in Yunnan have become well-known brands, such as Shangri-La matsutake, Dehong Hougu coffee, longrun Pu'er tea and other export food enterprises, including Yunnan plateau characteristic matsutake, tea, coffee, quick-frozen / dehydrated vegetables, tilapia and so on. Dehong Hougu Coffee's business covers 35 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative regions.
