Bogota, Columbia, Sept. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)-the Colombian Federation of Coffee growers (Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, FNC) recently launched a global opinion solicitation campaign aimed at improving the efficiency of selective coffee harvesting in Colombia.
This public opinion solicitation activity is called "CoffeepickINN". This challenge aims to identify innovative solutions from entrepreneurs, research groups and / or companies to improve the efficiency of selective coffee harvesting in Colombia.
The event will be supported by Connect Bogota-Region, a professional organization that promotes open innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer processes.
"We hope to jointly develop innovative solutions to address the high labor costs in the Colombian coffee harvest and improve the profitability of producers, so that advocates can agree with FNC," said Roberto Velez, chief executive of FNC.
Submitters are reminded that, in order to improve the efficiency of coffee harvesting, submitters should address the different causes of the problem, including technical, agricultural, human and economic factors, in accordance with Colombia's specific environmental conditions.
Interested participants can log on to www.coffeepickinn.com for details of the challenges, registration forms for opinion solicitation activities, deadlines and other terms and conditions from July 10 to September 29, 2017.
To attract participation, FNC has a wide range of cash and physical resources to invest in solution development and implement solutions in Colombia through scalable for-profit businesses or through partnerships and cooperation agreements.
Target enterprises, companies and / or researchers
The target audience of the opinion solicitation campaign is a group of entrepreneurs, companies and / or researchers at the national and international levels who have the ideas, talents and technologies needed to meet this challenge, and will solve this problem through scientific or technological innovation.
Entrepreneur group: natural and legal persons who intend to create a new business or company.
Company: an enterprise established according to law.
