Coffee and cola can do harm to children's health.
Coffee contains caffeine, which is a neurostimulant with obvious excitatory effect. After drinking, people lose drowsiness and can improve work efficiency, but it can also cause euphoria and addiction.
Through a large number of scientific studies, it has been found that drinking coffee frequently can cause the following harm to children due to the effect of caffeine:
(1)Children often drink coffee, can cause irritability, appetite loss, insomnia, memory loss, can not concentrate on learning, and even some people think that children who often drink coffee are prone to ADHD. Caffeine also destroys vitamin B1 in children, causing vitamin B1 deficiency.
(2)Caffeine may cause intestinal cramps, often drinking coffee in children prone to abdominal pain, affecting food intake, resulting in malnutrition.
(3)American scientists have found that coffee drinkers have twice as much calcium in their urine as nondrinkers, that is, increased excretion of calcium. Therefore, drinking coffee for a long time can affect children's bone development.
Coca Cola is another drink popular around the world, marketed in more than 150 countries. In addition to sugar, carbonated water, phosphoric acid and caffeine, the drink contains ingredients that have been unknown for decades. Coca-Cola and other brands of cola are caffeinated drinks, and regular drinking of cola by children may cause the same adverse effects as regular drinking of coffee.
