Don't blindly believe in famous brand imported coffee beans.

Although the freshness of coffee beans is so important that we strongly recommend that every coffee lover can roast at home, it is undeniable that not everyone has the conditions or time to bake at home; in addition, many novice friends will not be suitable for self-baking because of lack of experience, and the solution is to buy roasted coffee beans.

In fact, I also suggest that friends who have just entered the coffee world try different coffee merchants or roasted coffee beans in order to learn from the experience, so that they can find their own direction. Here are the key points for buying roasted coffee beans.

■, don't believe in imported coffee and ripe beans.

The reason is very clear, ──. You never know how long ago the coffee beans in the bag were roasted. If you have the experience of mailing from a foreign company (any item is the same), you will know that even expensive air couriers will not receive the goods until nearly two weeks later. If you happen to order Espresso beans that require the highest freshness, you will be almost dead by the time you have them! Don't forget, this is still the state in which the coffee beans are bagged and put on the plane immediately after the coffee beans are baked and packaged. More likely, the coffee beans are left in the factory for 3-4 days to wait for shipment, and stay in the customs warehouse for another week after arriving at the destination by plane. After that, they are kept in the importer's warehouse for a few days before they are finally sent to the dealers everywhere. As for how long it will take before you buy them? Only God knows!

■ find a coffee shop (or related supplier) that has the ability to bake on its own, and confirm it with your tongue. Why look for a coffee shop that has the ability to bake on its own? Of course, it is possible to provide you with the freshest coffee beans. Confirm the baking time with the merchant before buying, and observe the way their coffee beans are preserved. Poorly preserved coffee beans can accelerate death. Responsible coffee merchants usually do not bake until they receive your order, and when they ship, they will mark the baking time on the bag to give you a clear idea of where the life cycle of the coffee beans is.

How to test the freshness of coffee beans after they are bought home? Try to cook and drink! Espresso is the most direct and stringent test, as long as the coffee beans are not fresh, there must be no thick soy sauce paste; without the Espresso machine, you can cook it in the easiest way at hand, confirming it with your nose and tongue. Fresh coffee beans should be full of fragrance and rich in layers when they are first ground, while stale coffee beans are just the opposite, with weak aroma and plain taste when ground. After a few times, you will know whether the definition of "fresh" in this coffee shop is up to standard, and of course, if it is not up to standard, it will become a refusal to go to the door; as long as your taste buds say that the taste of this coffee is OK, it is OK! Of course, standards will improve as your coffee experience grows.

If you really can't find a coffee merchant who meets the standard near your home, it's a good choice to order online. At present, there are several coffee companies in Taiwan that offer online ordering services. they confirm with you that the order is correct before they bake it and send it to you by express delivery. If nothing else, at least there is absolutely no problem in terms of freshness.
