15th Place in the 2009 COE Coffee Contest in Bahia Region, Brazil Santa Barbara Manor

Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer, accounting for about 33% of coffee production. However, due to Brazil's location in tropical rain forest areas, relatively flat terrain and few high-altitude forests, most coffee is planted in low-altitude non-volcanic soil areas, and there is not much shade as shade, resulting in the rapid growth of beans and large coffee density. This, coupled with the large-scale harvesting of coffee beans by machine, results in the simultaneous harvesting of coffee of widely varying maturity levels, making the quality of Brazilian beans not particularly used in commercial or bulk bean categories.

After 2000, because of the COE International Coffee Cup test, coffee farmers have incentives to produce high-quality coffee. The quality of coffee beans produced in the southern high-altitude areas has been well appreciated. The farms around Minas plateau are the main ones. The coffee quality is the leading one in Brazil and the largest yield. For example, Xirado in the west of Minas and Matas in the east, Bahia in the north or small farms in the south. Minas has almost become synonymous with Brazilian fine coffee. In recent years, because of the change of treatment method in Central and South America, water treatment method, semi-washing method, semi-sun method, sun method beans can also be seen in Brazil beans and make up for the weak taste of Brazil beans, especially the semi-sun method and sun method beans perform best, which will make the fruit aroma increase, the earthy taste is reduced, the acid is cleaner and brighter.

Fazenda Santa Barbara Estate is the 15th estate in Brazil COE Coffee Competition in 2009. It is located in Bahia Brazil in the east of Brazil. This area is famous for producing good sun-dried beans. The coffee produced by Santa Barbara Estate is sold directly to the UK. Direct Coffee only obtained new beans in 2010 because of the cooperation with British green beans. Mr. Eulino Jose has been planting 4000 coffee trees since 1980. At an altitude of 1350 meters, some members of the family try to keep the soil healthy and not acidify it. The rest help harvest and treat the beans. The owner, Mr. Eulino, is responsible for the storage of the coffee, but his most important job is to ensure that each bean is carefully handled without defects. He also uses the Piata Growers Association to share his experience with the members to encourage them to produce good coffee. When the coffee is fully ripe, it is harvested manually. Solarize coffee beans.
