The main coffee varieties of PNG are Tibika introduced from Blue Mountain in 1931, bourbon from Kenya in 1950, New World from Brazil in 1962 and Kaddura. Famous estates include SIGRI in the western Wahgi Valley, KIMEL in the eastern highlands, AROKARA, GOROKA and ARONA in the eastern highlands.
