Angolan coffee brand Cafe Cazengo will export its coffee products to China, Portuguese news agency Angop reported.
Jos é Gon ç alves, the project manager, said the brand would export a total of 54 tons of coffee to China, the United States and Portugal, but did not disclose the export price.
It is reported that the brand's coffee is produced in Kikulongo, Angola's Kwanza Norte province.
Angolan daily newspaper also reported that Goncalves said that the project was one of the strategies to help Angola reduce its dependence on the oil sector and promote the diversification of the country's economy.
According to Portuguese news agency Angop, Angola currently produces 15000 tons of coffee a year, and its coffee exports totaled US $2 million last year.
Angola is the fourth largest coffee industry in the world, but it produces only a small amount of Arabica coffee and is of high quality.
